FLOCS is a resource for information on school related legislative or regulatory issues concerning preschool and K-12 education at both the national and state levels. FLOCS attempts to provide schools with timely and pertinent information about legislation. Through an effective partnership with the Florida Association of Academic Nonpublic Schools (FAANS), FLOCS will monitor legal issues and advise schools on laws affecting Christian education, where appropriate.

FAANS is the state office of the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), an organization which facilitates a nationwide and statewide framework for providing information about private education to policy-makers and the public, as well as monitoring and analyzing legislation and regulations affecting private schools.

In legislative or policy matters, FLOCS is poised to represent the interests of Christian education to members of the legislature, to the State Board of Education, and to the Florida Department of Education to furnish information about, and to articulate the Christian school viewpoint on educational matters.
