Program Objectives for FLOCS Scholarships
The FLOCS Scholarships program supports the mission of the Florida League of Christian Schools to empower students for passionate Christian service by:
- Encouraging academic excellence by supporting students who attend Southeastern University, an accredited university
- Fostering diverse training by recognizing one (1) education major, and one (1) major from another discipline
- Prepare students for serving Christ in their profession and career
- Providing financial assistance that promotes Christ-centered education
- Promote education which integrate Christian distinctives and a biblical worldview in all it teaches
- Support our member schools by recognizing their students of excellence who represent the spiritual and intellectual ideals of the school and FLOCS
Candidates should consider these program objectives carefully before applying and be prepared to explain in their essays and during any subsequent interview process how their study plans will support the objectives. One way of demonstrating support of the objectives could include a commitment to Christian school service or life-long church leadership or service. Scholars are encouraged to support program objectives by choosing a study field that will help address the spiritual needs of the global and local community.
